Woven Wood Blinds - How Do They Work?

If you want your room to have that warm exotic feel, a woven wood blind might just be the solution. Originating from the ancient art of weaving to create cloth, this type of blind has morphed into a variety of designs, sizes, and even function.

A woven wood blind, of course, was first intended for windows. But since humanity has such boundless imagination, this also functions as curtains or dividers between rooms, too. This blind come in several shades and sometime functions more of a décor instead of a covering for your window.

What's wonderful about this is you can have it specifically designed or woven based on your very own personal preferences. You may choose to have it woven loosely or more intact so the degree of light filtration is just right for how you want it to be. In terminology, this is what we call open weave or private weave.

Wood in itself is aesthetic. It provides a rich texture to wherever it goes. Wood furniture, handcraft, decorations, and blinds will make your room very relaxing, inviting, and closer to nature. The different finishing type, varnish, or natural color of the wood will certainly compliment the look and feel of your room.

I think the only downside of a woven wood blind is its inability to be rolled up just about the same as Venetian blinds for I have not seen one yet of that type. No matter what, if it is used for aesthetics, whether to compliment your window or as a curtain, rolling up the window blind should be the least of your worries.
